Johannesburg (aka Joburg, Mzansi, Egoli or Jozi to the locals) is the unofficial capital of South Africa. Similar to London, Joburg is a melting pot of diverse cultures and communities.
With it’s famous city skyline, Joburg is flanked by the suburb of Fordsburg in the west. It is here that The Joburger menu originates from. A staple diet amongst the locals, the toasted sandwiches, burgers, pies and subs, locally known as “specials” are woven into the very fabric of the community. So famous are these delicious sandwiches, subs and “parcels” of spicy chips that South Africans from as far as Cape Town and Durban make it a point to partake when in Joburg.
The Joburger brings the spirit and food of Johannesburg to London.

Chips…yes Chips, are a firm favourite in Joburg and huge part of our menu. Not for the carb counter, our sandwiches, burgers, subs and pies all contain our speciality spiced chips – it sounds mad but once you’ve tried any of our yummy sandwiches, burgers, subs or pies, you’ll be craving more.
We source all our meat from specially curated butchers and ensure all our meat, our ingredients and our preparation methods are completely halal.
